"TOUR OF VENICE"

VENICE  

  DAY 1  

Arrival at Venice Railway Station and transfer to the 4 star hotel. 
Accomodation. In the afternoon excursion to the Laguna Islands (regular tour): after sailing past the stand of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Public Garden, the tip of Sant’Elena and the famous Lido beach resort, the boat arrives at Murano known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here there is a stop to visit a factory. The second stop is at the picturesque island of Burano , famous for its fishermen’s houses painted in bright colours. Afterwards we reach Torcello, the centre of civilization within the estuary. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca remains as a testament to its former glory.
Return to the regular tour terminal.

DAY 2

After the breakfast visit of Venice with a walking city tour (regular tour) for an artistic introduction of the city. Description of St. Mark’s Square, political centre of the Venetian Republic . Visit to the “Golden Basilica”, the Baptistry and Doge’s Palace, (residence of the Doges and the most important seat of governement in the “Serenissima”), the Prison, Bridge of Sighs . Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 3

 After breakfast transfer to the Railway Station and return to Milan .
